The Department of Engineering and System Science at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Taiwan, invites applications for tenured or tenure-track faculty positions in the research areas of integrated circuit design or semiconductor devices for intelligent nano-systems. In addition to intelligent nano-systems, applicants with expertise on low carbon energy, power plant safety, computational materials science, thin film engineering, smart sensor, 3D IC, beam technology, and nano-material characterization are also welcome.
All levels of faculty positions are available. The applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree in engineering, applied science, or a closely related discipline and demonstrate promising excellence in research and teaching. Postdoctoral or industrial experience could be a plus.
In addition to exercising personal expertise in research, new faculty members are advised to closely collaborate with other colleagues and would be responsible for offering both undergraduate and graduate level courses. These courses include but are not limited to those in basic and advanced electrical engineering, such as Microelectronics, Electrical Circuits, Electronics Experiments, Probability and Statistics, Linear Algebra, Machine Learning, Signals and Systems, Semiconductor Devices Physics, Integrated Circuit Design and etc. Teaching in English is required for some courses.
