The Department of Engineering and System Science at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Taiwan, invites applications for tenured or tenure-track faculty positions in the research areas of (1) integrated circuit design or semiconductor devices for intelligent systems or (2) thermal-fluid science and engineering or artificial intelligence for sustainable energy. In addition to intelligent systems and sustainable energy, applicants with expertise on computational materials science, thin film engineering, smart sensor, 3D IC, beam technology, and material characterization are also welcome.

All levels of faculty positions are available. The applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree in engineering, applied science, or a closely related discipline and demonstrate promising excellence in research and teaching. Postdoctoral or industrial experience could be a plus.

In addition to exercising personal expertise in research, new faculty members are advised to closely collaborate with other colleagues and would be responsible for offering both undergraduate and graduate level courses. These courses include but are not limited to those in basic and advanced engineering, such as Microelectronics, Electrical Circuits, Electronics Experiments, Probability and Statistics, Linear Algebra, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Signals and Systems, Semiconductor Devices Physics, Integrated Circuit Design, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Two-Phase Flow & Boiling Heat Transfer, Thermofluidic Laboratory and etc. Teaching in English is required for some courses.

The application package, including (1) a letter of application with curriculum vitae and autobiography, (2) a statement of research interests with a brief research proposal, (3) a teaching plan with proposed course syllabuses, (4) transcripts of undergraduate and graduate, (5) a name list of three references, (6) a summary of teaching evaluations (if available), and (7) Ph.D. dissertation, should be sent by February 28, 2023.
