Professor Reginald Thio is now looking for PhD students to join his group in Singapore, and is wondering if you know of anyone in your department/university who is thinking of doing a PhD in Singapore.

He is looking for someone with chemical/materials/environmental/biochemical engineering background. He has collaborators in MIT, so there is a very good chance of the student spending 6 months in MIT during your PhD study (if you want to move on to the USA after PhD, up to the student).

It will be all expenses paid for 3 – 5 years (stipend of S$3000/month + tuition fees), inclusive of a 6-month paid research stint in USA.
